A new, original novella in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series that picks up several months after the events of A Court of Wings and Ruin.

Months after the explosive events in A Court of Wings and Ruin, Feyre, Rhys, and their companions are still busy rebuilding the Night Court and the vastly-changed world beyond. But Winter Solstice is finally near, and with it, a hard-earned reprieve. Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she finds that those dearest to her have more wounds than she anticipated - scars that will have far-reaching impact on the future of their Court.

And another book in the ACOTAR series. While this one is “only” a novella it is quite long and more than just a short interlude.

ACOFAS takes place shortly after the end of the war and we follow our favorite gang of High Fae.
As for the main characters I feel there isn’t much for me to say, as we already know all of them pretty well.
I did like the fact that Fayre was struggling with what happened during the war because it showed how sensitive she is and that she cares a lot about her people. I loved how she dealt with not only the horrors of the war itself but also with what she realized about herself after her visit to the bone carver.
Nesta disappointed me with how she dealt with everything. I was pretty surprised to see that she was pretty much drunk all the time and completely shunned anyone except Amren.

Another thing that disappointed me was that Mors sexuality was swept under the rug again.

There wasn’t much of a plot here, as it was more of an interlude, but I loved it! We got a glimpse into the lives of everyone and while there wasn’t much happening and there wasn’t all that much character development happening I almost liked this one more than ACOWAR. It seemed very organic and natural.

As with the first three books I rated this one 5 stars and can’t wait for the series to continue.
